B.1993. Italian, British-born artist, currently living and working in London and Paris, Mila works across film, photography, object-making, drawing, and performance. Mila's recent body of work investigates play theory and how it explores survival not as a mere question of maintaining life, biologically speaking, but how we enhance adaptive capabilities and resilience. Play can be seen as a self-protecting process that changes the architecture of the brain, an essential component of health and well-being. It also considers the ways in which child object identification, representation, gender, and sexuality become embroiled in adult life, and how these might take on a fantastical or bizarre scale.

Driven by an unwavering curiosity about the human condition, '“humour emerges as a vital element in challenging conventional notions of survival, identity, and resilience, inviting audiences to explore the interconnectedness of the human experience with a sense of playfulness”.
