A House of Pomegranate Bananas

2021, acrylic on linen, 1.95m x3m

‘Wherefore I must go hence, and wander through the world till I find her, and she give me her forgiveness’ for I should never have stolen these bananas, the skins were so appealing though, smooth like the inside of a clam shell, and the edges carved strong like Venus De Milo who stands tall in the desolate confines of the Louvre. Maybe I might find her there, and I can return this last banana and display it before her, duct-tape at the ready. And if not there, I wonder wherefore I must go?
