Form Inform All’ explores the paradoxical nature of the photographic image, its ability to engage in fictional realities whilst preserving an appearance of objectivity and truth. Confusing and contradictory images which through staging strange illusions and playing with perception intentionally undermine photographic representation. 

Juxtaposing bodies with objects in such close proximity, blurring the lines between the two, the artist has fabricated imaginary worlds. Arranging props, directing models and inventing surreal and colourful stages, placing the bodies into an unknown world, a world of potential symbols and signs. 

Through redefining these objects everyday use, the artist is able to reveal content of the subconscious, subverting conventional notions of reality. The artist frequently uses herself as subject matter in her photography, to create distorted self- portraits which twist the viewers sense of reality whilst making these worlds more personal to her. 

One of the intentions for this series was to arouse curiosity through both the process of the photographic image as well as evoking questions about the deeper significance of them. The images have no one signification but contain anything from sexual and erotic imagery to religious and spiritual symbolism.
